You're right, it was just a poll for all ALPA members...not a vote. However, ALPA had an overwhelming 'NO' response for AGE 65. What type of S%@# union does the exact opposite of the majority membership's desire. I think ALPA national has one foot in the grave... your membership dues would go to much better use w/ an independent union. For example, at NWA we have a great group at the local level. It's just ALPA national leadership that needs to hit the road. How do the FedEx guys feel about ALPA national?
You guys at the NWA local level are so dysfunctional it's ridiculous. The quote "F 'em" regarding the over 60 engineers says leaps and bounds about how your reps view seniority. I can't wait until they say "F 'em" when it comes to furloughing the junior guys, at least they'll be consistent.
If your guys hadn't stabbed Woerth in the back and supported him like you should have, we'd be a lot better off now.
