It just seems misguided to me to attack the CONCEPT of unionization simply because you don't like ALPA. It's a crystal-clear reality that all of the non-union carriers have sub-standard wages and contracts to go along with no protection. Sure, union-carriers have been taking a beating too, but at least they're fighting back. If you don't like how they fight back, that's a gripe with the union itself, not with the concept. Most would agree that the best contract out there right now among passenger airlines is SWA, and they have the most unionized labor force of any airline (94%).
Bottom line: you're throwing the baby out with the bathwater. And it's damn well not worth it just to be a cheerleader for some pseudo-Reaganesque anti-communist nonsense, while a Harvard-educated group of executives and lawyers screws you from behind.
