First and foremost, I want to say I'm sorry for your loss.

Now for my rant, don't blame it on GA or small aircraft. Just as with the airlines, you need to have an acceptable level of competency and currency to maintain safe flight. I don't fly heavy anything, I've flown everything from 12,500lbs and below, and love it. Is it dangerous? Not really, I fly and work in the same confines and airspace as any airliner, with just as much or more workload because I primarily am either single-pilot, or training new owners in their new $2-$3million toys.

If I blamed every motorcycle/car accident on motorcycles/cars, then I'd never go out on the road. Unfortunately events happen that are out of our control and it's easy to find a scapegoat.

Once again, I'm seriously saddened by any loss of our fellow aviators, as well with any of the many hobbies and passions I'm involved in. Fly safe everyone
