Umm yah, duty rigs, trip rigs, and days off really matter when the "top tier" places:
- Constantly roll days off instead of using the reserves. A line holder loses 3 days off while reserves aren't even flying 10 hours.
- Grieve but fly anyways for duty rigs and trip rigs 'violations' and the grievances aren't resolved for YEARS.
- Per diem, cancellation, and other pay doesn't matter as the paychecks are so screwed up you waste hours trying to figure it out yourself. Nothing like counting on a good check and getting one that's less than half guarantee.
Rose-colored smoke up my six is still smoke. If I played these kind of paycheck games with my employees I'd be sitting in jail.
But I'm sure you work for an airline that has cherubs throwing rose petals along your path as scantily-clad good looking flight attendants drape on your arms and passengers bow before you as you walk to your flight.
