No such animal, besides UAL doesn't have any MD-80s. But I digress, the aforementioned seniority system is contractually guaranteed. One may be a 15 year Delta captain, but if he went, say to UPS, he'd be listed behind every single pilot hired prior to his date...regardless of their relative experience. Then the bidding...and the fun...begins.
