Well it was you who brought it up in this forum. You have your own come worship me web site which you promote at the end of each of your posts, I figured it must be important for you to stand by what you said. I mean hey, it's important to you to brag about your salary, self promote with your own web site, tell the world how cool your job is, why not stand behind what you say? Clearly you're desperate for attention.

For those of us who have been pilots for more than just a little while and for all those worshipers of yours we might wonder how a reserve captain made $308,000. I mean you brought it up on this very forum, why not fess up? Could be a little exaggeration?

I'll bet you a dollar I have you summed up. I bet you carry business cards saying "Captain Joe Blow...UPS" and just love to hand them out to anyone who will take one. You love to introduce yourself as "Captain Joe Blow" to anyone you meet. And you chomp at the bit to talk to all these young pilots so you can feel cool. And I bet you wear that killer brown pilot hat any chance you get. I flew with your type more times than I'd like to remember and it made flying with the real down to earth pilots all the more pleasant and fun.

As for me, it's family care if you're so desperate to know. I have pinched nickels since I was 18 years old come heck or high water and thus can afford the large down payment for this successful business that the folks are retiring from. I'm working a regular schedule, M-F, but the business is there and already I'm making more than the airline. And I'm home every single night with my beautiful kids and beautiful wife. I can coach, I won't miss family events and I'm the boss, it's wonderful. I can't find words to describe how much better things are already.

So come on, what's the real truth with the $308,000 Captain America?
