This is due to the fact that they (USAirways) have approximitely 1500 guys on furlough and are obligated to bring them in first before anyone else. We have been told that they will bring in about 100 next year. But they have been reducing capacity this year and are currently losing 20 pilots a month due to retirements, resignations and medicals.

But people that i talk to tell me that they are understaffed. (Nothing New)
