2 sick calls per year is NOTHING. What airline do you work for where two sick calls per year is alot?
Go onto WestLaw's website and read the legal decisions on sick time. I'll save you the trouble... basically, if you have sick time still in your sick bank, then by federal precedents, you are NOT a sick time abuser no matter what your employer thinks. They can do whatever they want, even fire you.... simply sue them, and you will win, including all your lost pay, to include your pattern of overtime.... they lose these all the time, but by being firm, they keep the masses in line. So, on their balance sheet, it is worth it to once in a a while pay somebody a years worth of back pay by keeping everybody else at work....
DO NOT fall for this crap.
Additionally, the FAR's are very specific... if you are sick, you CAN NOT fly.
