Many drivers there for 20 or more years have huge caches of stock often hypothecated before they went public. We thought that after honoring their picket lines in '97 we might get some real support when we requested release in '98 but the labor friendly Clinton administration cut our legs out from under us telling us that not only would we never be allowed to strike, but we'd never, ever get released from mediation, so we never got to see for ourselves. However, after walking the line with them in OAK for example I wasn't afraid for my life there anymore
Sideshow, speaking of honoring picket lines, I recall a tiny little company called DHLAirways/Astar that put out press releases stating that we would not carry any UPS material in '98. Thanks for the support bro!
