In a perfect world yes but why would they wanna spend more money on you when youre doing a perfectly fine job for the pay and rules you have now. They have ZERO motivation because they will tell you to do something and you will and they will continue to drag out the contract talks.
It's not the pilot's job to get more flying. That is a complete management function. The addition of flying is a management success. A reduction in flying is a management failure. Pay cuts, concessions and worsening work rules do not lead to additional flying, neither in terms of block hours or airframes. Just ask any Comair pilot.
