In DTW the other week I watched a NW A330 make several awesome landings. Upon the first touchdown, two huge explosions of white smoke came billowing out from the mains, followed quickly by rather alarming flapping of the wings as the lift unloaded and then quickly re-loaded for the second part of the landing. After smacking the earth and the earth smacking back, the big bus floated back into the air so that the pilot may get another shot at measuring a reading on the Richter Scale. Having floated down the runway for a few thousand feet in search of terra firma again, the pilot must have really wanted to get the plane on the ground for real this time because again, two huge explosions of smoke and the flapping of the wings. I didnt have the heart to make a comment on the radio, but someone else did, "Any chance you are both going to log that one?" They didnt reply.
