Surreal, they're really not as bad as people make them out to be. I was terrified of doing spins, then came that dreaded day during my CFI training. We did an insipent spin.. wasn't to bad. Then a full blown spin, 5 turns- lost about 2500 feet in a 172. It was actually kinda fun, and some of the most valuable training I've ever recieved. When I was instructing, I tried to introduce spins to my students before they soloed. It was a hit, and every once in a while they wanted to take up a Citabria and do spins just for the heck of it. They're fun... you'll like them!
