Fact is that there are somethings that money can't buy.
FWIW anyone that thinks that you can go in to another career field and make 100K+ and really 130K+ in five years is nuts. Do not compare yourself to a Doctor, Lawyer, or and Executive. Those guys have paid their dues too. Fact is that we all look at the top 1% of every industry and say, "I could do that." Fact is that unless you are Superman or have been in another industry it will take you another 7-10 years min to make what you make at a major airline. That the facts. I looked in to it since I have an MBA. Even with this and management experience the best I could hope for would be 60-70K for a few years until I could prove myself in that company. (I know SkyHigh you are going to compare me to the 1% but the fact is that is no where near the norm.)
You're right, you can't go into any other profession and make 100,000 your first year.

My wife, and the hundreds of others at her firm did it in their
first year. Oh yeah, you get bonuses in other professions on top of that. Oh yeah, you don't start over at the bottom either.
