They should know what they need in man hours and airplanes. You dont change the numbers that much on oil going down 30 dollars. It could go back up tomorrow.
Actually OIL going down $30 is a huge swing on the profitability and the forecast of profits and cost. If the company was not adjusting the operation based on the cost of oil, and the appearance that it was a bubble we were experiencing versus a true rise in the cost, then that would be incompetence. Changing the business plan to try and get the best mix of mainline flying is always better in my opinion. To rationalize that you would prefer the company to park airplanes no matter what is absurd. Why not enjoy the fewer furloughs and perhaps the fewer bumps. Some of you guys are truly amazing!$^&*(&(*^&*&^%
My guess is that if oil had gone down and the company had not adjusted the numbers you would be here purporting incompetence for that also.
