I bought a Chevy Celebrity with the same exact paint scheme from a DC-10 captain once. I got pulled over a few times, too. go figure.
I think it was about the 4th time it got towed by the city that I decided to let them keep it.
btw my sister got her plates stolen by someone w/a chevy celebrity...eh hem...wasn't you, was it?
...newho, they got two tickets and the police were trying to get her to pay them for months...if you ever lose your plates, don't report them as lost, report them as stolen, or you could have to go through a huge mess like she did...just letting y'all know so you can avoid that.
