Spend your time anywhere you want, but this thread is about answering questions about getting started in RJ training (specifically, the Embraer 170/190).
The "big iron" jet is an RJ. Just because it's engines are on the wing dosen't mean anything.
There was a question about differences in 'feel'. The asymmetrical yaw issue in the EMB-170 tends to be more pronounced due to its engine location and swept wing design.
It's a Regional jet flown by a regional airline (CHQ) for regional pay.
CHQ no longer flys the 170.
