Do you want to know whats the most telling sign whether you're doing the right thing or not? Would you spend $100 an hour the rest of your life to rent planes? Take it from someone who knows all to well, it is HARD to put a price on doing something you love. That's why its so easy to take advantage of pilots and pay them low wages. Just keep that in mind. Just because you're doing something you love does NOT mean you should be paid a substandard wage.
You're here to enjoy life, and sometimes doing what you love does have a down side. Myself, I'd hate to stare at the sky every time a plane went by and regret I ever skipped out. I should have my CFI/I after October, and just the thought of getting out of my job and into flying just brings happiness to me. Enjoy life. Do what makes you happy. For everyone on here that crys, they may have a point where they got jipped. How many leave though and work another job out of flying? Some, yes. Most, no.
