I understand that it’s not so much their fault, as it is of management, and so I won’t resort to the level of some of the Delta pilots that don’t even acknowledge you exist as you pass them. I will try my hardest to be polite to the Freedom pilots, but when they take money out of my pocket, it’s pretty hard. They did decide to go and work of that company. I had 3 of them commuting back home with me last night all sitting up in first class. Man cant we just get rid of these guys. They are like cockroaches!
This quote about sums up all airline pilots. OK, as a legacy guy now, why shouldn't I be complaining about RJ guys taking my flying. Doing the exact same thing you are trashing the freedom guys with. The major airlines don't care weather you came from Comair, Mesa, RAJ, or GLA. All those pilots are doing is what is best for them. When I was a CMR, I don't know how many guy whined about being on RSV or not upgrading in a year. Well to them I say, why didn't you give up 5 yrs of your life go to GLA or Mesa, upgrade in less then two yrs and get out. One reason why anyone including myself goes to Comair is, they couldn't get hired by someone else. This "job" is about getting to the top of the ladder as quick as you can, ALPA designed it that way. So, you can race up the ladder or you can stop at each rung. Inorder to do that you have to make a sacrifice, 2 yrs at cmr, not wanting low pay, whatever. Comair is now a fly by night place, my guess is airline ops will end, because they can't schedule, and MTZ and ground ops will grow. Good luck and before you think of trashing someone think about what you are really saying. I know my life now would be easier if anyone that flew a jet airplane didn't do it for cr@@y wages.
