Kaex Dc-9..

It is at AEX; saw this airplane last week. I've seen it there for at least 5 years that I can remember.
About a year ago, I had some time to kill, so wandered over to this airplane and some 727s that were being scrapped (very sad to see).
The DC-9 isn't even sitting on real landing gear---it is crudely welded angle-iron, tubing, and either large truck tires or small tractor tires!! Funny part was, I never realized it until I got up close.
The "engines" are two-to-a-side 50-gal drums filled with cement. I guess they wanted this abomination to stay in CG.
I think they were using it for fire practice, so it has this home-made gear and towbar. But it is so poorly attached, I'd be afraid it would collapse if they moved it.
