I believe that they are all contract pilots to the companies that provide the feeder flying, so you might have to ask them. From what I've seen here in Connecticut, the feeder guys fly in, off/onload their freight, hang around for a while and then leave, single pilot, for a number of stops before flying back to their base. They spend each day at home, and the ones that I've talked to seem to like their jobs. I believe they are paid a salary as opposed to how the rest of the FedEx pilots get paid.
