Merger Update Stuff
"As we have mentioned many times, we want to ensure that we pass along answers to your questions regarding the merger as soon as decisions have been made. Today, we want to update you on uniforms. A decision has been made to outfit Northwest Pilots in the Delta Pilot uniform by Spring 2009. Newly designed hat brass and wings will be issued to all Pilots - Northwest and Delta alike - representing the Delta two-tone red “widget” logo at the same time.The decision on the new uniform marks the first of the distinct changes we will experience as we move forward toward full system integration. New procedures, aircraft livery, contract terminology, and the “Delta” call sign will complete the transition. The “commercial” part of commercial aviation demands that we adapt to changes being made to take full advantage of the power of brands. It will not change who we are or where we’ve come from. It will change, and enhance, the outlook for our future."
