Thanks for the info about Stinson Beach! I very much look forward to the oral regarding it...or was it an oral ON it? Please advise.
I will try and find pictures of a Stinson Jr. - they are a big antique airplane that I was fortunate enough to get a couple hours in. They were built in the early thirties.
Took my first step back to flying yesterday. Found a school that has a wide range of airplanes to fly including a Super Cub. I haven't flown in about 12 years (ever since I lost my hearing). I stayed away simply because I didn't want to rekindle my desire to fly but be bound to non-controlled airpoprts, etc (which deaf people with Pilot licenses are bound to). With my implants, and the prospect of a non-restricted medical, I am quite excited. SO...next week is the big week and i will start flying again. I am somewhat nervous about how it will be after the lay-off. Also, i tend to be a perfectionist and hard on myself. It will be crushing if I am not as good at it as I was a long time ago. Has anyone taken a long lay-off from flying and then re-started? How long did it take to feel comfortable again?
I will let you guys know how it goes - my membership (or potential membership) in the posse is dependent upon me flying again simply because this is a forum for ladies who like pilots.
