I thought that it would be interesting to start this thread for those of us aspiring to become professional pilots and see what similiarities and differences we have.
For me it has been a long and arduous task just to be awarded the (my) 1st Class Medical certificate. I was told that I should have an answer by week's end, however I was also told that they are backed up. Staying positive though.
At any rate, my career goal is to
hopefully fly for either ASA or Comair. I'm partial to CRJ fleet; the 700 & 900. Being 46 yrs old now, I understand that being a career regional airline pilot would probably be in my best interest; however, if given a shot at landing a gig at the Majors, it would definitely be between DAL and Air Tran.
My other goal/option would be Corporate. I like the King Air 350 and the Cessna 550. The 550 reminds me of a small A-10 Warthog if I'm not mistaken.
When it all said and done though, I can say with certainty that I will go wherever I'm offered a job.
