I think its worse to wear a partial uniform than the full with hat. Call it what you want, but its all about professional image. Frankly, partial uniforms look silly and thats why airlines have the standards that they do. I don't care what TSA guys do, but we as pilots should look professional.

I know that most regional airlines are quite relaxed and some don't require hats. A lot of guys don't like hats. But those airlines that do require them, or pilots that choose to wear them should not be mocked for upholding the professional image of the profession.
