36K sounds about right and is a good ballpark figure. I guess it's location, location, location. The training facility that I've chosen is going to run in the neighborhood of about 50K. This is from PPL to CFII/MEII. It includes housing. Training manuals, checkrides and like will be a little extra.

As far as KAL providing training from the PPL, I don't know.
