Default Bh

Well, Here is what things look like to me....

BH is at least somewhat COMPETENT..... That is something we have never, ever had here at ASA. You would not believe all the clowns we have had in charge thru the years.

BH is mgmt, of course-so he will not always give you the moon and the stars. BUT-He does communicate, and if you send him an e-mail, stuff will happen (if you have a good gripe.)

In the past, we have had goons who were so cheap they would not even get a 1-800 number for dispatch or scheduling. No crap-when I was new, if you were DFW-based and needed to talk to someone in ATL on company business (even sked and dispatch), you had to pay for the freaking call yourself!

Then came DAL. I thought they would fix all our troubles! Boy, I sure was wrong!! Those guys sent over the two biggest goombahs you ever have seen. SB and BL ran this place like complete retards! Those DAL flunkies had a bunch of money to throw around, but mainly spent it all on GO people..... I remember one time we had a "Annual Award of Blah, Blah, Blah" the purpose of this reward was to give something cool to everyday working slobs...... Anyhow, the grand prize for all the people who won that (about 25 or so) was a week at a resort in Cancun (on the company.) I was thinking "awesome, we will finally see some everyday folks getting something cool." I opened our little ASA publication to see who the winners were, and damn if every single one of them was not a G.O. jerkoff!! Every single one!!!! So much for the little guy! Anyhow, the G.O. just turned into a money-splurging hell-hole under DAL leadership... It was a huge mess! Our on-time performance was crap, our morale was horrible, and we were all unhappy. The only people who enjoyed those times were in that G.O. building, all slapping one another on the back and congratulating each other on their great work!

All I can say for sure is that BH is light-years ahead of what we have had! He might not be perfect, he might not be a true pilot cheerleader but damn if he isn't doing a whole hell of a lot better than what we have had! So, I think it may be a matter of perspective-when your expectations are so low, maybe it is not so hard to impress....

-As for me, I think Brad is OK so far-time will tell, but things are really looking up for morale among most people I know. Our performance numbers are way better than they were.. I have always said that we have all the ingredients of a good airline, we just needed someone running things to put it all together-I really think Brad may be that guy!
