Regionals are what checkrunners used to be. Time builders. Nobody in their right mind will say that they are going to make a career out of regional
So take it for what it is, bottom wages to build time to move on to something bigger and better.
Like other posts have said, anymore it may not be a stepping stone, but end up where you retire out of. Less jobs are at the majors, while the regionals continue to grow (of course everything is hurting right now).
Also, the 'stepping stone' mentality is partially to blame for conditions being what they are in the first place.
