I am not disagreeing with you about your sister going before my parents on the mainline flights. I am talking about Buddy Passes (unless that is how you get your sister to travel). If you know the Delta travel benefits Buddy Passes are S4 throughout the system. What I am saying is why do my parents on a mainline flight have to be downgraded down to the same class as a Buddy Pass. Let me reiterate this one more time, I am not talking about your dependents or travel companions, I am talking about a Buddy Pass. Is it getting through to you yet? Your sister has every right to go ahead of my parents on a DAL flight, but I don't think your college buddy who is getting a Buddy Pass from you for this flight from ATL to LAX should be getting on before my own parents. I think that is where this system is flawed.

If you know anything about the Delta NonRev benefits, then yes, siblings do travel on buddy passes, unless they are designated as a travel companion. Is the whole idea of other family members travelling on a BP getting through to you? In order for what you want to happen, there needs to then be two separate priorities for BPs, family and non-family. That creates too much of a logistical nightmare for Delta and they would pull down all non-rev benefits first. Or they just could pull all DCI bennies. Keep in mind that the whole S-3C thing came about because Delta tried to put all mainline employees ahead of all DCI employees even on DCI flights regardless of DOH. The DCI carriers balked at that and the S-3C was born, along with the parents of DCIers riding S-4 on mainline. Management has little patience with the whole program, and if it wouldn't create a mutiny at mainline, they would be happy to do away with it altogether.
This whole thing is being driven by management, tick them off enough and you will see that benefit taken away. There are some who still have it out for Comair for the strike, and they will never forget. If you still feel that strongly about this though, compalining about it here won't get it changed. You need to contact your carrier's interline person, to try and get them to change Delta's mind.
