Are you set on APA Centennial Airport? I can highly recomend a flight school at BJC RockyMtn Metro airport if the geography works for you and our students.

Part 141 private and instrument, Best fleet (a few bucks higher, but not much and worth it), have their own maintenance hanger and full time licensed AP on staff, nice online scheduling system, they consult with King Schools (if you know of them) in developing computer based training, and have been awarded the #1 Cessna Pilot Center in the world several times. Not sure they'd let you "freelance", not sure many would, unless you rent the plane for yourself and then take a passenger with you (but then there's checkrides), would likely be frowned upon at this school. If you brought some students they'd certainly consider hiring you as an instructor. Accelerated Private Pilot Flight Training and Instruction With Cessna and McAir, clever, I know. They have their stuff together.

I grew up in Topeka so I'm a fellow Jayhawk, didn't go to KU b/c of other opportunities, but spent plenty of time in Lawrence. Currently I'm tredding water in some hiring pools. Where are you flying now?
