I don't see why its always labor that should pay for managements urgent need for cash flow. They get paid the big bucks to make things work, not to cut their employees pay everytime the going gets tough. I'm posting in general btw, not exclusive to XJT.
I couldn't agree with you more. However, I don't think our management really wanted to do this. The good thing is we keep all the work rules and don't drop that nice 401K 100% match and 2.5% contribution. For some reason some guys think I am ripping on them as pilots when I mention their airline. However, I am rooting for them to get their raises.
I think we should be talking about pay raises, but we have no leverage right now. Just wait another 2-3 years, then it will get good for all of us in this industry. The shortage will happen, it was just delayed.
