Guys, I am not really sure what I am going to vote, but look around, we are in TROUBLE. The economy is TANKING, Fuel is going to go up again, mark my word and unfortunately our company is not using creative accounting. We have lost MILLIONS of DOLLARS with Branded & Delta and our BOD signed a deal with CAL that loses money!. The BOD says they had a gun to their head and I believe it, CAL was more then willing to take the a/c back and pawn them off to whomever. There is no way our management will be taking bonuses or pay increases unless we get all of our money back first. Our works rules which are some of the best ones around will not be touched, as well as our 401k contribution, vacation etc........ When its all said and done it will be apprx $160/paycheck for CA, roughly half that for FO's a month. If you want to "stand tall" and vote no, go ahead and vote no but just remember in BK the judge will DESTROY our contract, both pay and work rules. I have learned that a lot of people can talk (including myself) but when faced with BK you consider your options, negotiate the best you can and either vote yes or no.

For those who tell us to "burn it down" Ill expect the same response from you when your company comes looking, and I bet they will ask for more then our company is. It is unfortunate that we are in this situation but it is what it is and we all need to make a decision.

Everyone wants us to "hold the bar" and vote no, well where were you guys when we asked you to "raise the bar"?, was it when you opted to fly larger jets/turbo-props for low pay, or was it when you voted no to a Union? Was it when you guys were telling our crews that "we will own you" during our SkyWest debacle?, or is it when you are willing to fly 170s with MidWest passengers in the back?
These comments are for those in the past the twist the knife, and I know I am guilty of it too but this whole thing has really brought me down a notch and I apologize for the arrogance and ignorance in some cases....

I try not to post opinion on here anymore (tired of getting flack for it) but until your faced with it (BK).........or until you "walk in someone's shoes" be cognoscente of the fact that we may not have a choice, and its either take a cut on our terms, or take a cut on their terms..........
