that is a great, well thought out plan!
Now let me introduce you to a dose of reality:
- Your airline can (and will eventually) furlough
- You airline could go out of business, forcing you start over again at the bottom
- This could happen multiple times
- I have seen ex-major, ex-regional captains starting over as FO's at another company
That will throw a wrench into your plans I'm sure.
If you're gonna make a career out of flying, it might as well be for a fedex feeder. At least you have some stability then.
making a career out of a regional is career suicide IMO.
