The only difference between you and me is that you or your ancestors showed up illegaly and I came here through legal channels a little later,so you are in no position to tell me what to do.

I sort of see your point in what you're trying to say however remember that Ellis Island, etc were legal means of getting here as at the time the US government actively promoted legal immigration to the US and even offered land deeds for some of the newcomers.
It’s a totally different scenario today where the government simply allows a ‘hands-off’ approach to the illegal immigration. In other words those laborers are illegal from day one however both sides of the political equation ignore that fact. One side is hoping to gain votes through either illegal voting or once they gain amnesty and eventually become citizens. The other side of the equation simply looks for cheap labor.
Both sides are selfish and disregard what's best for the country in order to promote their own causes.
That's a totally different discussion though...
