If you/he/she got a type 10 yrs. ago and never flew the airplane? oh boy, probably do the whole thing over again.
Some people have all the luck in the world, I know a guy who flies for NJI, he's got the following types:
1-G-IV, G-V both from NJI
2-Falcon 2000EZ
3-Global Express 700
I'd say his career prospects don't look too bad.
