The hiring of foreigners at BA is just the same as the US carriers.

BA, like the majority of airlines in the UK and the US, will only hire a foreign national who is LEGAL to work in the country they are to be based.

My friend is one of many Americans I know who fly for BA. All are LEGAL to work in the UK.

As far as I'm aware, US airlines will not sponsor foreigners. Hence the "Can you legally reside and work in the US?" box on all job applications.
