Also, an interesting note, as per the Piedmont contract, any taker of a month long voluntary leave of absence (which is what is being offered) loses one month of seniority. Funny how they don't mention that in the FIL. Anyways, I think the MEC got them to change that part, so that people who take this VOL don't lose any seniority.
I guess that is better then no takers. I really wonder what will happen with those airplanes that the lease is ending on in 2009. If they were to lose some airframes that would not be a very good thing for people on the bottom of seniority list and also for poolies. Or anybody for that matter.
