I doubt ASA will offer up a contract that compensates for inflation next round, certainly for many people on the current contract inflation will significantly outpace their pay increases. Let's not give things away without reciprocity.
See, that's what I'd like to know. This being the biggest economic recession in 80 years, I'd think we'd be ill advised to enter negotiations right now. We know the company wants it badly, so let's make them wait and up the ante in our next contract!
