I don't think SWA has any preference on where you get the type rating. The application only asks if you have a rating and not where you got it from.
I got mine from Lone Eagle. You do all the prep online before you get there. One day of ground school and 5 days of sims. Drinking from the firehose but it's cheap and done. Right now they're advertising $5995.
Lone Eagle's sim is in Las Vegas and there's a couple other companies that use the same one who also have lower priced programs.
1st post on APC...1Seat 1Engine (or anyone else) if you are still posting, I'm looking to get some additional information on lone eagle for the 737 type rating. Unfortunately, I don't have the requisite 25 posts on APC, so I can't PM yet. Any additional information is very much appreciated!
