Regional airlines undercut majors (my opinion). Regional airlines HAVE lower the bar in aviation industry. in this industry one thing that new airline pilots seem to forget or not realize is that they need to be humble. Also, just an advise, I have seen alot of times in my career what i call " the boomerang effect" . Starting jumpseat wars is DEFENITELY not going to help this industry.
