Talked to the IPA Military Rep today and It appears, me included, that a handful of us reserve/guard guys are taking mil leave now to get what few fulltime jobs are left just in case it happens. So I don't think its just a few people being spooked. As far as being spooled up as stated in an earlier post, well better safe then sorry. Good luck. Also, I would like to note that I have talked to the union many times in the last 5 weeks including some EB folks and they say it just can't, won't, never has and will not happen. Didn't the Captain of the Titanic say something like that. Also, the post 911 furlough was not only not executed becasue of the opentime threat, but becasue there were over 60 guys gone on mil leave and they, UPS, didn't know for how long or how many more would be called ? Put your faith in the union, but don't be stupid to take only their veiw of the situation, Read Read Read.
