Well, my main point was that although in your experience only junior pilots concede that a furlough is a possibility most of the junior AND the senior pilots I’ve flown with agree that a furlough is a possibility. In other words, in my experience it's not as "inconceivable to most everybody right now unless you're in that 300" as you described. That's all.

FWIW, two nights ago a trip popped up due to a sick call in SDF. There were only 2 RSVA SDF 75 and 1 RSVA Z FOs available. But we're fat right?
