Ream did offer to help pack up. It was a few years ago. I'm glad that he is trying to stick it to CAL but he will stick it to you guys too if push comes to shove. Good luck with the future flying, I hope that you can keep those 69 airplanes flying.
You're right, Im still fairly new. But I have flown with some captains that didn't have a clue about GoJets and some that were very passionately against them. One thing I can tell you for sure, after talking to a few TSA guys, I will NEVER let someone from GoJets on my jumpseat. Yeah, I'll feel bad for em because I know how hard it can be to get to work sometimes but if you are walking around the terminal with your ID badge turned around or you are sneaking through bag system to avoid going through the terminal, you know you did a bad thing. I wouldn't be a d!ck about it, just politely and professionally tell them I didn't want them on my jumpseat. If they gave me a real hard luck case maybe I would charge them $100 and then donate that to ALPA's strike fund or emergency assistance fund...
Like I said in another post, the latest rumors I have heard is that they have found homes for all but 15 of the airplanes. The corporate flying is a done deal. A pay override and schedule system has been divised and the mod kits are sitting in maintenance. Im not sure what the rest of the airplanes will be doing but we keep hearing September as the date of some big announcement. To be honest, I am not worried about it. We will still have 205 planes in the CAL system which is one hell of an income stream. IN addition, XJT holdings has its hands in MANY different pots. If they want to park the remaining airplanes in the desert, thats fine with me. If they pay me my gurantee, Ill go sit out in the desert with em and keep CHQ's grubby mits off
