UPS has announced that they will domicile the 400 in ANC. Additionally, they will also have some MD11s up there as well. We have some pilots (less than 100 I'm told) that live in ANC that will probably bid it (why wouldn't they?) but there will be a shortfall in crewmembers.

I can see UPS hiring into both the right seat of the maddog and the 400 in ANC just to avoid paying the moving cost for new hires. Perhaps they will do what FEDEX is doing; offering the ANC slot sooner or a SDF slot later...who knows?

My prediction is that ANC will be filled with very junior capts and fos...
