i think we should all start sitting on the curb in our uniforms with coffee cans asking for money. the respect has long left this industry and so has the pay. at least then it would wake-up america to the crap we put up with in this profession. i'm sorry but when a regional pilot is making poverty level to FLY a 30 million jet through icing conditions, experience an inflight emergency, and land with a max x-wind on one engine with the lives of 53 people minimum in his hands working on about 6 hours regulated rest cause the van ride, uniform ironing, shower and shave arent considered REAL SLEEP something is WRONG! although that scenario might not present itself on a regular basis...its still possible and does happen!
