After having worked at ALPO National in both Herndon and downtown D.C. for a number of years, I was
shocked to see Duane Worthless's name surface. Give the man credit. He is a Washington insider who spent years promoting himself and his career, so I shouldn't be surprised. Oh...I'm sorry. Was he supposed to represent the ALPA line pilots and their concerns during those years ? He was probably just too busy with his own agenda.
What I would like to know is why not simply make Bobby Sturgell's position permanent ? He has been at FAA for several years, knows the ins and outs of the agency and was a line pilot and ALPA member. Besides, he has demonstrated that he has the tools to get the job done.
Let's just leave Worthless as a lobbyist where he can use his honed skills to attend fancy dinners, enjoy the good life and promote himself ...at someone else's expense.
G'Luck Mates if he's appointed
