I see what you're saying. But going from junior CA back down to senior FO, the pay hit for me is right around 45%. Quite a big difference if yo ask me.
So to say that a CA doesn't make much more than an FO can be very circumstantial. Especially when operating multiple variants of same "type", as well as different seniority demographics, with various "work rules" that dictate how a junior CA gets paid regarding which airplane he operates when he flies.
