Most major carriers stay in and around that area although at certain times (like now) there are acceptable hotels near the airport. As far as out of the clear blue, well not really if you have been there and do a little reading about the place you wouldn't be surprised at all.
And finally its a 1 hr drive from the airport..
All in all it sucks. I worry as much about all those nice kids working the front desk and the bell guys... remember most the folks killed were Indians....
Yeah I'll be the first to admit I don't know a lot of history on India, or even the current problems and issues they have over there.
I'm just glad everyone from our extended family is okay. It's just very frustrating that they hate us so much.
I try to live by the golden rule most of the time, but I just can't find it in my heart to do it. Is it wrong that when I see Muslim's praying on their towels, on their knees, in the gate area of the Detroit airport before they got on a flight? I saw it on Monday night, and I just felt myself getting mad. It probably makes me a bad person.
