One question though, HOW COLD IS IT? lol
And I'm from the Boston area, so how much of a shock will the weather be?
Being from Boston, it will be colder. But consider yourself lucky, there are alot of ppl who did thier first two years at an extended UND campus in Hawaii.... they really looked cold. There are tunnels and buses all over campus so handling the cold isn't all that bad. Jan-Feb is really cold though, expect many days to have a high in the -10 to -20 F range. But at least there isn't too much snow... Once it gets below about -5F I really can't tell the difference, its all about wind then.
Before they changed the rules you could fly as long as the wind chill was over -45F. I flew a warrior one day when it was -44F with no wind... man that was cold. I never took off my gloves, hat... anything. I suggest visiting the campus... thats what I did the summer before my senior year of hs.
