The BIG deal is that in a highly standardized industry the sanctioning body, when it comes to "safety", TSA, has become the poster child of chaos and unaccountability.

This is unfortunate but not unchangeable and uncorrectable. Change can be brought by many ways, most of which begin by a simple question and effort in figuring out what we exactly have to deal with and ultimately correct. The attitude of "what's the big deal" has let us to where we are today. It began as a cause of protectionism now its just a matter of laziness and defeatist attitude, "it will never change".

I understand you or others might feel that way, "what's the big deal", and I agree that to some, including you, it might not be a big deal. However, others who want their work environment and condition to improve might feel that even the smallest inconsistencies are worth questioning and worthy of correction.
