It's being looked into. I won't blow smoke up your a$$ that it will happen tomorrow, but a lot of "newly" elected reps are trying to make it happen. You want a brief on that and what happened with today's neg chair interviews, call me. I'll give you my take.
Maybe you should read the policy manual. YOU don't get a vote on this. The MEC selects the Neg Chair and it is the MEC who the candidates forward their cover letters and resumes to. As far as open session, a number of non-MEC pilots attended, spoke for candidates, and asked questions of the candidates (which the MEC didn't have to allow). If you're so interested, why weren't you there. I attended and don't have a vote.
Once again, thanx Micro for responding, maybe it is because you haven't yet been put through the process of being seated, which I hear involves putting your testicles in a vise and having them squeezed to ~ by our MEC chair til you say "yes sir, no sir" three times

I understand we have a Republican form of representation, but if it is open to all of the membership, doesn't that that imply an open forum with comment and opinions from all in attendance, in order to influence the outcome? Finally, don't all of us have a stake in who the next NC chair will be, and if we do, can't we be trusted to see their "cover letters and resumes" as well? Let's get some more transparency involved so we can be more apprised of the MEC thought process, after all, wasn't this a major gripe with the Wilson Center polling results?
